THE EXPERIENCE
Polish folk culture brought to life on stage
PolkLore & History is a live Polish folk and heritage show in Warsaw combining traditional dance, historical storytelling, legends, authentic costumes and cinematic visuals.
It is more than a folk dance performance. Each dance becomes a chapter in a larger story about Poland, its regions, turning points, culture and identity.

Come curious. Leave with the pieces connected.
PolkLore does not try to turn an evening into a history lecture. Instead, it connects famous names, dates, dances and legends into a chronological story that gives visitors a framework for understanding Poland.
Why was the Baptism of Poland such a turning point?
The show begins with the foundations of the Polish state and the choices that connected it with Christian Europe.
What connected Poland and Lithuania?
Meet Queen Jadwiga and Władysław Jagiełło and discover how dynastic politics opened a much larger Polish-Lithuanian story.
Why does Grunwald still matter in Polish memory?
The medieval story leads to one of the most famous battles in Polish history and to the rise of the Polish-Lithuanian state.
Where does Copernicus fit into the story?
The show touches on Kraków’s intellectual world and one of Poland’s best-known scientific figures.
Why does Chopin sound so Polish?
We connect Fryderyk Chopin with the rhythms and forms of Polish dance, and one of our stage dances is performed to Chopin’s music.
How did Poland disappear from the map and return?
From the Constitution of 3 May and the partitions to cultural memory and independence, the chronology becomes easier to follow.
SIX TRADITIONAL POLISH DANCES

Krakowiak
Energetic, proud and strongly associated with Kraków.
Polonez
A stately ceremonial dance still present at important Polish celebrations today.
Mazur
Fast, expressive and linked with the memory of freedom and national identity.

Oberek
A fast, turning folk dance full of energy.

Planning something different?
Tell us about your audience, place and format. We can discuss a full performance, a shortened programme or another commercially viable format.
COMMERCIAL INTERNATIONAL BOOKINGS
Based in Warsaw. Available to travel.
PolkLore is open to paid performances in Poland and abroad for cultural institutions, event organisers, tourism partners, companies and private clients.
We are interested in professional commercial collaborations where PolkLore is invited as a performing company, with the artistic programme, travel, technical requirements and fee agreed in advance.
SMALLER FORMAT? ALSO POSSIBLE.
Not every occasion needs the full theatre show
A smaller group may need a compact cultural moment rather than a full evening in a theatre. We are open to tailored commercial formats.
A short Polish folk mini-show during dinner for a private tourist group, an international delegation, a hotel event or a corporate meeting.
Tell us what kind of audience you are hosting and what space you have. We will tell you what can realistically work.
